Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to the regional authorities of the agro-industrial complex, as of September 24, 2020, the average Russian prices for wheat of the 3rd class amounted to 12,452 rubles / ton (+ 1.2% per week), for wheat of the 4th class – 11,357 rubles / ton (+ 0.8% per week), for wheat of the 5th grade – 10,827 rubles / ton (+ 0.8% per week), for feed barley – 9,838 rubles / ton (+ 2.1% per week), for food rye – 9 729 rubles / ton (-1.2% per week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
According to the operational data of the FCS of Russia (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member states for August and September), as of September 24, 2020, in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, grain crops were exported 12.5 million tons, which is 0.04% lower. than in the same period last season (12.6 million tons).
The volume of exports of wheat for the season amounted to 10.4 million tons, barley – 1.8 million tons, corn – 0.28 million tons.
As of 25.09.2020, FOB Novorossiysk prices were:
Russian wheat of the 4th class (protein 12.5) – USD 234 / ton (+ USD 5 / ton per week), for barley – USD 198 / ton (+ USD 10 / ton per week), for corn – USD 192 / ton (+ USD 12 / ton per week). The volume of grain from the Federal Intervention Fund as of September 25, 2020 is 288.5 thousand tons for the amount of 2,895.3 million rubles (excluding sold but not shipped grain – 261.4 thousand tons).
During the sale of grain from the reserves of the Federal Intervention Fund in 2020, the total volume of exchange transactions as of
September 24, 2020 amounted to 1,484.1 thousand tons in the amount of 17,683 million rubles, including wheat of the 3rd class – 739.0 thousand tons, wheat of the 4th class – 632.6 thousand tons, 5th class wheat – 91.9 thousand tons, barley – 20.5 thousand tons.
