Leu-AGRO News Update on Russian Agriculture Wheat Exports !!!
The Current Level remains at Historic Heights this Shipping Season.
The export of Russian wheat in the current season remains at a record level, despite a significant decrease in grain shipments in recent months and the implementation of Export Quota and Duties. This fact was noted by the head of the analytical center of JSC “Rusagrotrans” Igor Pavensky.
As the expert clarified, in the period from July 1, 2020 to April 18 of this year. Russia exported 34.5 million tons of wheat (excluding supplies to the EAEU countries) compared to 29.8 million tons shipped in the same period a season earlier, which shows an increase of 16%.
“This indicator remains the highest in the entire history of observations, surpassing the previous record that was recorded for such a segment of the season in 2017/18 MY – 33.5 million tons,” Pavensky said.
He also added that in general, according to the analytical center “Rusagrotrans”, Russia has already exported in excess of 43 million tons since the beginning of the season, which is 6.7 million tons more than in the last MY.
