Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Situation on the Russian Grain Market Development from the 14 of September 2020 !!!
Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to the regional authorities of the agro-industrial complex, as of September 10, 2020, the average Russian prices for wheat of the 3rd grade amounted to 12 320 rubles / ton (+ 1% per week), for wheat of the 4th class – 11 316 rubles / ton (+ 0.7% per week ), for wheat of the 5th class – 10 640 rubles / ton (+ 0.2% per week), for feed barley – 9 635 rubles / ton (+ 0.4% per week), for food rye – 9 757 rubles ./ton (-0.7% per week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
According to the operational data of the FCS of Russia (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member states for July-September), as of 09/10/2020, in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, 10.2 million tons of grain were exported.
The volume of exports of wheat for the season amounted to 8.5 million tons, barley – 1.5 million tons, corn – 0.22 million tons.
As of 03.09.2020, FOB Novorossiysk prices were:
Russian wheat of the 4th class (protein 12.5) – USD 222 / tonne (USD +7 / tonne per week), for barley – USD 186 / tonne (+ USD 3 / ton per week), for corn – USD 178 / ton (+ USD 5 / ton per week).

The volume of grain from the Federal Intervention Fund as of 09/11/2020 is 288.5 thousand tons for the amount of 2,895.3 million rubles (excluding the sold but not shipped grain – 306.2 thousand tons).
