The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation confirmed the forecast for the grain harvest this year at 120 million tons, the press service of the department said !!!
“Gross harvest forecasts for this year are 120 million tons of grain, which is 6% higher than the level of 2018,” the report said.
According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, the expected volume of domestic grain consumption is at the level of last year.
“Thus, according to our estimates, the export potential of grain crops in the current agricultural year is 45 million tons, of which wheat – 36 million tons,” the minister said.
At the same time, he noted an increase in export prices for grain, which will contribute to the realization of this potential.
“According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture, in November-December 2019, Russia will supply 7-8 million tons of grain abroad worth about 1.5-1.7 billion dollars. Thus, the final indicators of the calendar year can be about 40-41 million tons, ”it follows from the message.
