The conditions for the growth of winter crops in the spring are good. Winter crops survived the winter “surprisingly well” this year. In fact, in the entire territory where winter crops were sown, the situation is very favorable.
Sufficient moisture supply is observed everywhere. Everywhere, even in the South: it is in the arable layer from 20 mm to 35 mm. It’s very nice. And in a meter layer of soil, productive moisture is 130-160 mm. This year, the conditions are simply wonderful.
According to him, in the Black Earth area and in the Saratov region, at the end of April, winter crops began to bush, and straw is already forming in the South. The rates of development of winter crops are close to average long-term values, there are almost no sparse crops. In the Urals and in the south of Western Siberia, there is also a rapid growth of winter crops.
The weather in Russia will be warm in May, Vilfand predicts. On 60-65% of the country’s territory, including in the east of the European territory of Russia, in the Volga region and in Western Siberia, the average monthly temperature should be above the climatic norm. In the North-West of Russia, the temperature conditions will be normal. Precipitation in most parts of the country in May is expected to be within the climatic norm. In the summer months, according to the most likely scenario, the weather conditions in the European part of Russia, in the Urals, in Western Siberia will be near or above the temperature norm.
