Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Agricultural Machinery in Russia !!!
Domestic trackers for agricultural machinery will appear in Russia by 2025 !!!
Devices will determine its location without the error of 30 m, which is observed now.
Russian developers will complete the creation of domestic trackers for the agro-industrial industry by 2025, Konstantin Ivanov, executive secretary of the FoodNet market of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), told TASS on the sidelines of the Archipelago-2022 project and educational intensive.
“Russia has GLONASS, just like there is GPS in the West. But this is not enough for accurate geopositioning of technology, because the error is up to 30 m, he said. “These deviations and losses can only be leveled by precise positioning and steering technologies, which allow us to reduce errors by up to two or three centimeters. Such specialized trackers are now being developed by several Russian organizations, including as part of the FoodNet market roadmaps.”
Insufficiently accurate determination of the location of the processing equipment in the field can lead to the fact that about 10% of the area will remain uncultivated or, on the contrary, receive an excessive amount of fertilizer, Ivanov said. “This is an unnecessary waste of resources – and fuel, and fertilizers, and human resources – and a lost harvest. In addition, 10% in terms of yield at the end of the year is a very large amount, if you count in money,” he said.
The expert also noted that if earlier Russian farmers used geolocation services for equipment from Western companies, now they are disabled. “We would like our own technology to appear before agro-industrial companies turn to Chinese services or establish parallel imports. Having your own domestic alternative would be more profitable in every sense, ”he said.
Earlier, the Center for Agroanalytics wrote that by 2025 a digital platform for data on weather, soil and climate will appear in Russia.
