To date, spring sowing in Kazakhstan has been carried out on 16.7 million hectares, which is 88.5% of the sown area planned for this year (22.8 million hectares). At the same time, the achieved result is 1.5 million hectares higher than the same period a year earlier. Such data on May 28 during a briefing was announced by the first vice minister of agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aydarbek Saparov, the press service of the ministry said.
Cereals and legumes have already been sown 13.1 million hectares (87.2% of the plan), oilseeds – 2.7 million hectares (93.6%), other crops – 1 million hectares (92%).

As Aydarbek Saparov emphasized, incl. spring field work is carried out in a regular mode and at the optimum time. The farmers timely carried out moisture closure, pre-sowing treatment and spring plowing.
He also said that the main grain-sowing regions have begun mass sowing since mid-May, and sowing work has already been completed in Aktobe, Zhambyl and Mangistau regions. In the Almaty, Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions, the work is nearing completion.
According to the regional akimats, the full range of spring field work is planned to be completed by June 03. The total amount of financing for its holding amounted to almost 128 billion tenge.
