According to him, the demand for domestic agricultural products and foodstuffs is strengthening due to their high quality. “In 2020, despite the pandemic, new markets are open for 18 Russian-made commodity items. In total, we have the ability to supply 160 countries,” the minister said.

According to D. Patrushev, planned work is underway to promote agricultural products in foreign markets. “In particular, we are creating a network of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture abroad in 50 countries. After the lifting of restrictions in connection with the coronavirus, the first attachés took up their duties, including in Thailand, Tunisia, Indonesia, Jordan, Mexico and Malaysia,” – he said.

“In general, this year, according to our forecasts, the established foreign trade indicators will be met in full,” – the minister highlighted.

At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture does not exclude that the planned indicators may be overfulfilled. As Patrushev told journalists on the sidelines of the “Golden Autumn” exhibition held last week, exports could amount to more than $ 27 billion.

Last year, agricultural products worth $ 25.6 billion were supplied from Russia abroad.
