The production of mineral fertilizers in Russia increased by 6.1% in January – October 2021 !!!
Fertilizer producers have reported on the closure of farmers’ needs in fertilizers for 2021.
According to the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers:
There is no shortage of mineral fertilizers in the regions and is not expected.
Russian fertilizer producers have completely covered the needs of farmers in mineral fertilizers for this year, while purchases increased by 15%, – the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAFP) reported.
“As of November 26, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Russian farmers increased purchases of mineral fertilizers by 15%, to 4.58 million tons (in terms of 100% of the active substance). Thus, the annual demand for mineral fertilizers of 4.52 million tons, announced by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia in February 2021, is 100% secured and currently supplies are already underway for the next year’s demand,” – reported RAFP. There is no shortage of mineral fertilizers in the regions and is not expected, – says the report.
At the same time, at the end of November, 989 000 tons of mineral fertilizers were sold at the Saint-Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX): almost 10 times more than for the whole 2020. The average monthly growth rate of the volume of transactions since the beginning of trading in December 2017 is about 120%, – notes RAFP.
The companies secured the applications of agricultural producers for fertilizers for autumn sowing by October 01, then there was an additional demand for mineral fertilizers for spring field work in the domestic market. “Now deliveries in excess of the fulfilled needs are carried out according to the plan agreed by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The implementation of this plan is monitored weekly,” – notes the association.
