In the Republic of Bashkortostan, the grain harvest exceeded 4 million tons, which is a quarter more than the last year. Reported by the republican government.
“We congratulate the villagers on this important event. Over the last 10 years, we have only been able to step over the 4 million ton mark for the second time,” – said the head of the region, Radiy Khabirov, at an operational meeting.
He also noted that this success is largely due to the support that the government of the republic provided to farmers, writes BashInform.
This year, 20 thousand tons of seeds were purchased for a total amount of 374 million rubles. Also, the increase in yield was due to the introduction of previously unused arable land on a total area of 29 thousand hectares.
According to the agency, in 2020 the average grain yield was 22.8 c / ha. Last year, this figure reached 19.9 c / ha.
Earlier it was reported that Russia exported agricultural products to foreign markets for 9 months of 2020 worth about $ 20 billion. Among the main buyers are China, Turkey, Korea and Egypt. At the same time, imports of agricultural products decreased by 1.6% to $ 20.3 billion.
