It’s interesting to know: Ginger and Garlic have broken sales records !!!
Since the beginning of the year, 10.4 thousand tons of fresh ginger have been imported to Russia, which is 36% more than was delivered in the same period last year (6.6 thousand tons). More than 50% of the total volume of ginger imports this year were imported in March-April, – Rosselkhoznadzor reported. Then the demand for the product was booming. People believed that it would protect against coronavirus. The import of fresh garlic to Russia in less than 10 months increased by 25% – up to 59.1 thousand tons. A particularly intensive increase in volumes was also recorded in March-April. In the summer, there was a decrease in supplies to last year’s level, but since August, imports again exceeded the indicators of 2019 by 50%, – notes Rosselkhoznadzor.
