Volga Baikal AGRO News Update on the Oilcrops Harvest !!!
This year, the gross harvest of oilcrops has reached a record of 23 million tons !!!
Sunflower harvest amounted up to 15.5 million tons (17% more than in 2020), soybeans – 4.8 million tons (plus 10.5%), rapeseeds – 2.8 million tons (plus 8.5%). The increase in production, first of all, is connected to the expansion of areas under oilcrops: this year, sunflower areas increased by 14% – up to 9.7 million hectares, soybeans – by 7.4% – up to more than 3 million hectares, rapeseeds – by 13.2% – up to almost 1.7 million hectares.
