Oil prices set records
Prices for sunflower oil for the week rose to 74.175 thousand rubles per ton, having updated the previous record of 71 thousand rubles per ton. This is stated in the materials of the Sovekon analytical center.
“Prices for sunflower oil have set a new record, sunflower is again actively rising in price.The main factor is a new jump in export prices for oil,” – is said in the report. “Sovekon” clarifies that a sharp rise in domestic prices for crude sunflower oil occurred last week, and at the same time a rapid rise in export quotations. In particular, domestic quotes for sunflower oil increased by 6.6 percent, to the level of 74.175 thousand rubles per ton (supply – EXW, European part of Russia, VAT included). Thus, the price reached record levels. Sunflower, in turn, rose in price by 4.66 percent, to 30, 875 thousand rubles per ton (excluding VAT), and sunflower oil for export increased by 3.78 percent, to $ 960 per ton (delivery – FOB).
This happened after the active growth of the global oilseed complex in the first half of the week. The analytical center expects such dynamics in the sunflower market to continue setting record oil prices and revived purchases from factories.
