Volga Baikal AGRO News Update on the Russian Agriculture Seasonal Spring Field Work Progress !!!

As of April 13, 2021 // Week 15

10.1 million hectares or 52.1% of the Total Winter Crop Area (Total Winter Crop Area +/- 19.5 mln ha) are fertilized in the country as a whole.

Spring Seeding is done on the area of 1.3 million hectares or 2.3% of the forecasted area.

Spring Grain Crops in the Russian Federation are Seeded on a Total Area of 914.3 thousand hectares or 3.1% of the forecasted Spring Crop Area (Spring Crop Area 2021 +/- 29 mln ha), namely:

• Spring Wheat: 72.3 thousand hectares or 0.6% of the forecasted area
• Spring Barley 398.9 thousand hectares or 5.2% of the forecasted area
• Grain Corn 1.5 thousand hectares or 0.1% of the forecasted area

• Sugar Beet 92.6 thousand hectares or 8.7% of the forecasted area
• Spring Rapeseeds 3.1 thousand hectares or 0.3% of the forecasted area

Potatoes in agricultural enterprises and peasant (private) farms are planted on the area of 7.7 thousand hectares, or 2.7% of the forecasted area.

Vegetables in agricultural enterprises and peasant (private) farms are sown on the area of 20.5 thousand hectares, or 10.8% of the forecasted area.
