Volga Baikal AGRO News Update on the Russian Agriculture Seasonal Spring Field Work Progress !!!

According to the operational data of the governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as of April 30, 2021, in the country as a whole, winter crops were fed on an area of 15.6 million hectares, or 80.5% of the sowing area of winter grain crops.
Spring sowing was carried out on an area of 6.7 million hectares or 13.1% of the forecasted area.
Spring grain crops in the country as a whole are sown on an area of 4.5 million hectares, or 15.4% of the forecasted area. Of these, spring wheat was sown on an area of 1 million hectares or 7.9% of the forecasted area, spring barley – 2.2 million hectares or 28.1% of the forecasted area, corn for grain – 391.1 thousand hectares or 13.9 % to the forecasted area.
Sugar beet (factory) is sown on the area of 491.6 thousand hectares or 46.3% of the forecasted area.
Fiber flax is sown on the area of 1.2 thousand hectares or 2.4% of the forecasted area.
Sunflower is sown on the area of 798.7 thousand hectares or 9.6% of the forecasted area.
Spring rape is sown on the area of 93.5 thousand hectares or 7.5% of the forecasted area.
Soybeans are sown on the area of 20.7 thousand hectares, or 0.7% of the forecasted area.
Potatoes in agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) households are planted on an area of 36.5 thousand hectares or 12.6% of the forecasted area.
Vegetables in agricultural enterprises and peasant (private) farms are sown on an area of 40.2 thousand hectares, or 21.2% of the forecasted area.
