Volga Baikal AGRO News Update on the Russian Agriculture Seasonal Spring Field Work Progress !!!

8.1 million hectares or 41.5% of the Total Winter Crop Area (Total Winter Crop Area +/- 19.5 mil. Ha) were fertilized in the country as a whole.

Spring Grain Crops in the Russian Federation are Seeded on a Total Area of 552.7 thousand hectares or 1.9% of the forecasted Spring Crop Area (Spring Crop Area 2021 +/- 29 mil ha).

• Spring Wheat 7.0 thousand hectares or 0.06% of the forecasted area
• Spring Barley 174.3 thousand hectares or 2.3% of the forecasted area
• Grain Corn 0.4 thousand hectares
• Sugar Beet 36.2 thousand hectares or 3.4% of the forecasted area
• Spring Rape 1.2 thousand hectares or 0.1% of the forecasted area

Potatoes in agricultural enterprises and peasant (private) farms are planted on an area of 4.0 thousand hectares, or 1.4% of the forecasted area.

Vegetables in agricultural enterprises and peasant (private) farms have been sown on an area of 15.1 thousand hectares, or 7.9% of the forecasted area.
