Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Russian Crops Exports !!!

The Omsk wheat began to be exported to Mongolia and the Chuvash buckwheat – to Belgium.

On December 22, 2020 – 25 wagons (1700 tons) with food wheat were shipped from the Omsk region. Before that, the grain was tested in compliance with all the quality standarts policies , – reported a press service of the Omsk Ministry of Agriculture. This delivery is the first shipment to Mongolia for a supplier – Siberian plant “Khleboprodukt”. Previously, the plant worked with China, which is more interested in the supply of barley. Now a quota has been received for the import of wheat to Mongolia. In 2020, agricultural products worth $ 219.5 million were exported abroad from the Omsk region, including 273 tons of grain amounted at $ 58.3 million.

In December 2020 the Chuvash agricultural producers started to supply buckwheat to Belgium. “Recently the first batch of 380 tons has been sent. The planned volume of supplies is 700 tons,”- said Sergey Artamonov, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic. Deliveries of this crop are already being carried out to Poland and Germany. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, as of December 13, in 2020 farmers of Chuvashia exported products worth 33.1 million US dollars (excluding the countries of the European Union), which is 25.7% more than in the same period in 2019. Let us recall that agricultural exports of Chuvashia should reach $ 46 million by 2025. This task is outlined in the Comprehensive Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Chuvashia until 2025.
