Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to regional agribusiness management bodies, as of 29.10.2020, the average Russian prices for 3 – class wheat were 13,719 rubles/ton (+1.5% within the week), for 4-class wheat – 12,559 rubles/ton (+1.6% within the week), for 5-class wheat – 11,918 rubles/ton (+3.7% within the week), for feed barley – 10,528 rubles/ton (+2.5% within the week), for food rye – 10,279 rubles/ton (-0.7% within the week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
According to operational data of the Federal customs service of Russia (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member States for September and October), as of 29.10.2020, 18.8 million tons of grain were exported in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, which is 7.3% higher than in the same period last season (17.5 million tons). The volume of wheat exports for the season amounted to 15.7 million tons (2.9% higher than the same period of the 2019/20 season), barley – 2.5 million tons (+59.5%), corn – 0.53 million tons (-19.3%).
As of October 29, 2020 FOB Novorossiysk prices:
For Russian 4-class wheat (protein – 12.5%) – 254 USD/ton (unchanged within the week), for barley – 214 USD/ton (+4 USD/ton within the week), for corn – 232 USD/ton (+15 USD/ton within the week).

Federal Intervention Fund:
As of October 30, 2020, it is 228.4 thousand tons in the amount of 2,249. 9 million rubles (excluding sold but not shipped grain-177.3 thousand tons). During the sale of grain from the reserves of the Federal intervention Fund in 2020, the total volume of exchange transactions as of October 30, 2020 amounted to 1,568. 2 thousand tons in the amount of 18,737 million rubles, including 3-class wheat -770.9 thousand tons, 4-class wheat – 684.6 thousand tons, 5-class wheat – 92.1 thousand tons, barley – 20.5 thousand tons.
