Situation on the Russian Grain Market: February 08 – 12, 2021 (Week 6)
Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to regional agribusiness management bodies, as of February 11, 2021, the average Russian prices for the 3-class wheat were 14.274 rubles/ton (+0.1% within a week), for the 4-class wheat – 13.541 rubles/ton (+0.7% within a week), for the 5-class wheat – 12.874 rubles/ton (+0.6% within a week), for feed barley – 11.608 rubles/ton (+0.8% within a week), for food rye – 10.611 rubles/ton (-1,6% within a week), for corn – 13.314 rubles/ton (+2.0% within a week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
According to operational data of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member States for January&February), as of February 11, 2021, 36,3 million tons of grain crops were exported in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, which is 28.5% higher than in the same period of the last season (28,3 million tons). The volume of the wheat exports for the season amounted to 30.1 million tons (28.2% higher than the same period of the 2019/20 season), barley – 4.1 million tons (+48.5%), corn – 1.8 million tons (-0.6%).
As of February 11, 2021 FOB Novorossiysk prices:
For the Russian 4-class wheat (protein 12,5%) – 280 USD/ton (-7 USD/ton within a week), barley – 247 USD/ton (-3 USD/ton within a week), corn – 264 USD/ton (+4 USD/ton within a week). Federal Intervention Fund:
As of February 12, 2021, the volume of the grain is 135,3 thousand tons.
