Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Russian Grain Price Development !!!
Domestic Grain Prices Development:
As of October 22, 2020, according to the data of the regional agricultural administrative bodies the national average prices for 3-class wheat was 13 515 rub/ton (+2.9% per week), for 4-class wheat – 12 359 rub/ton (+2.3% per week), for 5-class wheat – 11 493 rub/ton (+1.4% per week).
For reference: feed barley – 10 271 rub/ton (+1.9% per week), rye – 10 356 rub/ton (+0.7% per week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
As of October 22, 2020, according to operational data of the Federal customs service of Russia (excluding data on the mutual trade with the EAEU States members for September and October): 17.6 million tons of grain were exported in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, which is 7.9% higher than in the same period last season (16.3 million tons). The volume of wheat exports for the season amounted to 14.6 million tons, barley-2.5 million tons, corn-0.51 million tons.
As of October 22, 2020 FOB Novorossiysk prices:
Russian 4-class wheat (12.5% of protein ) – 254 USD/ton (+6 USD/ton per week), for barley – 210 US dollars/ton (+6 US dollars/ton per week), for corn – 217 US dollars/ton (+10 US dollars/ton per week). Federal Intervention Fund:
As of October 23, 2020, the volume of the grain of the Federal intervention Fund is 240.6 thousand tons in the amount of 2 380.3 million rubles (excluding sold but not shipped grain – 181.0 thousand tons). During grain sales from stocks of Federal intervention Fund in 2020, the total volume of stock exchange transactions as of October 23, 2020 amounted to 1 564,5 thousand tons to a value of 18 687 million rubles including 3-class wheat – 770,9 thousand tons; 4-class wheat – 681 thousand tons, 5-class wheat – 92,1 thousand tons, barley – 20.5 thousand tons.
