Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Situation on the Russian Grain Market Development from the 21 of September 2020 !!!
Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to the regional authorities of the agro-industrial complex, as of September 17, 2020, the average Russian prices for wheat of the 3rd class amounted to 12,307 rubles / ton (-0.1% per week), for wheat of the 4th class – 11,266 rubles / ton (-0.4% per week), for wheat of the 5th grade – 10,736 rubles / ton (+ 0.9% per week), for feed barley – 9,639 rubles / ton (0% per week), for food rye – 9,849 rubles. / ton (+ 0.9% per week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
According to the operational data of the FCS of Russia (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member states for August and September), as of September 17, 2020, in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, 11.5 million tons of grain were exported.
The volume of exports of wheat for the season amounted to 9.5 million tons, barley – 1.7 million tons, corn – 0.27 million tons.
As of 18.09.2020, FOB Novorossiysk prices were:
Russian wheat of the 4th class (protein 12.5) – USD 229 / tonne (USD +7 / tonne per week), for barley – USD 188 / tonne (+ USD 2 / ton per week), for corn – USD 180 / ton (+ USD 2 / ton per week).

The volume of grain from the Federal Intervention Fund as of September 18, 2020 is 288.5 thousand tons for the amount of 2,895.3 million rubles (excluding the sold but not shipped grain – 279.7 thousand tons).
