PROBABLE FORECAST of TEMPERATURE REGIME in October – November 2020
Forecast of agrometeorological conditions for the second decade of October 2020
European part
In most areas of the European part of Russia, agrometeorological conditions for the growing season of winter grain crops and harvesting operations, and in the south of the territory for planting winter crops, will be generally satisfactory.
Asian part
In most of the agricultural regions of the Asian part of Russia, agrometeorological conditions for the completion of harvesting work will be generally satisfactory. In the Urals Federal District and Western Siberia, a weak vegetation of winter grain crops is possible during the daytime.
Above normal, the average monthly temperature is predicted in the western regions of the Northwestern Federal District, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in the Kemerovo and Irkutsk regions, in most of the Far Eastern Federal District. In the southern regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts, October 2020 is expected to be colder than October 2019.
November 2020
Above the norm, the average monthly air temperature is expected in the east of the Northwestern Federal District, in the north of the Volga, Ural and Siberian Federal Districts, as well as in the northeast of Yakutia. Lower than in November 2019, the average air temperature is expected in the Magadan region and Chukotka.
