Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Start of the Seasonal Field Work in Russia !!!

Farmers of the Crimea and Chechnya have started feeding winter crops.

Agrarians of the regions of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts started to feed winter crops, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

As of January 31:

67.6 thousand hectares were fed, including 43.8 thousand hectares in the Crimea and 23.8 thousand hectares in the Chechen Republic.

For the harvest – 2022, in the whole country, winter crops  are sown on 19 million hectares.

According to Roshydromet, about 97% of the crops were in good and satisfactory condition before leaving for the winter.

Crimea

It is planned to feed more than 400 thousand hectares of winter crops in Crimea. To carry out all the spring field works, in the republic, the need for mineral fertilizersis estimated at 33 thousand tons. 542 thousand hectares of winter crops were sown for the harvest – 2022, more than 87% of seedlings are in good and satisfactory condition.
