Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Russian Grain Export !!!

Russia retains the first place in the world for the export of wheat – 37.6 million tons.

Oksana Lut, deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture, reports that with the volume of wheat supplies of 37.6 million tons, Russia retains the first place in the world for the export of this crop.

The Ministry of Agriculture reports that, according to preliminary estimates, grain supplies to the markets of third countries in the 2020-2021 season will exceed 48 million tons, wheat-37.5 million tons. The agency then indicated that as of July 01, 2021, grain exports (excluding the EAEU countries for May-June) for the last season amounted to 47.8 million tons, wheat – up to 37.2 million tons.

Oksana Lut also reports that the forecast for export potential regarding grain supplies from Russia in the 2021-2022 agricultural year (from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022) remains at the level of 51 million tons.

The deputy Head of the Ministry of Agriculture also said that the forecast for the grain harvest in Russia in 2021 remains at the level of 127.4 million tons.

The gross wheat harvest is expected to be 81 million tons. As of July 19, a little more than 30 million tons of grain in bunker weight have already been collected in Russia.
