Volga Baikal AGRO News Update on the Russian Agriculture Seasonal Spring Field Work Progress !!!

According to the operational data of the governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as of June 15, 2021, the spring sowing is carried out on the area of 51.4 million hectares or 99.8% of the forecasted area.
Spring grain crops are sown on the area of 29.6 million hectares, or 100.9% of the forecasted area. Out of that, the spring wheat is sown on the area of 13.1 million hectares or 103 % of the forecasted area, spring barley – 7.4 million hectares or 96.1% of the forecasted area, corn for grain – 3 million hectares or 106,1% of the forecasted area, rice – 188.7 thousand hectares or 98.3% of the forecasted area.
Sugar beet is sown on the area of 1 million hectares or 96.2% of the forecasted area.
Fiber flax is sown on the area of 41.3 thousand hectares or 86.2% of the forecasted area.
Sunflower is sown on the area of 9,1 million hectares or 106.8% of the forecasted area.
Spring rapeseeds are sown on the area of 1.4 million hectares or 110.8% of the forecasted area.
Soybeans are sown on the area of 2.8 million hectares, or 90.9% of the forecasted area.
Potatoes are planted on the area of 269.9 thousand hectares or 92.9% of the forecasted area.
Vegetables are planted on the area of 175.2 thousand hectares, or 92.1% of the forecasted area.
