Grain exports from Russia from the beginning of the 2021-2022 agricultural year (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022) as of October 21 amounted to 13.5 million tons, a decrease of 24% compared to the same period last year. This is stated in the materials of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
“According to the operational data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member states for September and October), as of October 21, 2021, in the current 2021-2022 agricultural year, 13.5 million tons of grain were exported, which is 24% lower than for the same period of the previous season (17.8 million tons),” – the ministry said.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the volume of exports of wheat for the season amounted to 11.6 million tons (21.2% lower than the level of the same period of the 2020-2021 season), barley – 1.6 million tons (a decrease of 36.8%), corn – 0.3 million tons (a decrease of 49.8%).
According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture, in general, for the current agricultural year, grain exports can amount to 45-48 million tons. In 2020-2021, agricultural exports amounted to 48 million tons, including 38.4 million tons of wheat.
