The global land management and supply of agricultural products in an ecosystem service are both essential to human existence and quality of life. However, recent agricultural practices that have greatly increased global food supply have had inadvertent, detrimental impacts on the environment and on ecosystem services, highlighting the need for more sustainable agricultural methods.

One of the approaches of the sustainable agriculture for future is maintaining and developping beekeeping. With the development of the agriculture, the role of bees as natural pollinators of flowering plants has steadily increased.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) 100 types of crops provide 90% of the world’s food, and more than 70% of these crops are pollinated by bees. That is to say, bees are involved for the production of a third of the world’s food, which is currently estimated at $380 billion.

Maintaining the beekeeping is a very important branch of the world CR&S policy.
