EAEU will zero duties on certain types of agricultural equipment and spare parts !!!
This will affect beet toppers and beet harvesters for the period up to June 30, 2024 inclusive.
The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the temporary zeroing of import customs duty rates for certain types of agricultural machinery and expanded the list of its parts and components for which tariff preferences are applied, the EEC trade bloc said in a statement, citing Andrey Slepnev, Minister for Trade of the EEC.
“The measure is aimed at supporting agricultural producers of the Eurasian Economic Union, which, under external pressure, faced the cessation of supplies of imported equipment and components, as well as the interruption of supply chains. The decision will help curb the rise in prices for manufactured products and will help ensure the food security of our countries,” – noted Slepnev.
According to the minister, the zeroing of duties will affect beet toppers and beet harvesters for a period of June 30, 2024 inclusive.
Tariff relief for refrigerated containers in the form of exemption from customs duties will be provided until June 30, 2024. For parts and components for agricultural machinery – until the end of 2022 or June 30, 2023, depending on the products supplied.
Decisions will come into force after 10 calendar days from the date of their official publication.
