Export of agricultural products from Russia has grown by 41% since the beginning of the year.
The main growth factor was an increase in the volume of export of grain crops by 2.1 times.
Exports of agricultural products from Russia since the beginning of the year increased by 41% compared to the same period last year, amounting up to $ 3.7 billion, according to the materials of the federal center “Agroexport” under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
According to experts, the growth in exports was due, in particular, to an increase in the export of grain crops, which increased 2.1 times, up to $ 1.6 billion. Deliveries of meat and dairy products abroad increased by 38%, reaching $ 122 million, the export of fat and oil products the industry grew by 9%, to $ 605 million, other agricultural products – by 78%, to $ 658 million. At the same time, the export of food and processing industry products for the reporting period decreased by 5% and amounted to $ 300 million, fish and seafood – by 26%, up to $ 394 million
China became the leader in purchases of Russian agricultural products, which increased this indicator by 39%, up to $ 700 million. The top five buyers also include Turkey (an increase of 42%, up to $ 564 million), Egypt (an increase of 52%, up to $ 393 million), EU countries (an increase of 7%, to $ 386 million), South Korea (an increase of 71%, to $ 235 million).
As previously reported, in 2019, the export of agricultural products from the Russian Federation amounted to $ 25.6 billion, in 2020 – $ 30 billion 394.7 million.
