Situation on the Russian Grain Market: November 23 – 27, 2020 (Week 48)
Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to regional agribusiness management bodies, as of November 26, 2020, the average Russian prices for the 3-class wheat were 14,603 rubles/ton (+1.3% within a week), for the 4-class wheat – 13,357 rubles/ton (+1% within a week), for the 5-class wheat – 12,405 rubles/ton (+0% within a week), for feed barley – 10,996 rubles/ton (+1,6% within a week), for food rye – 10,289 rubles/ton (+1.7% within a week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
According to operational data of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member States for October & November), as of November 26, 2020, 23.7 million tons of grain were exported in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, which is 14.1% higher than in the same period of the last season (20.8 million tons). The volume of the wheat exports for the season amounted to 19.8 million tons (10.0% higher than the same period of the 2019/20 season), barley – 3.0 million tons (+67.6%), corn – 0.72 million tons (-14.9%).
As of November 26, 2020 FOB Novorossiysk prices:
For the Russian 4-class wheat (protein 12,5%) – 254 USD/ton (+$1 USD/ton within a week), barley – 215 USD/ton (+$3 USD/ton within a week), corn – $ 238 USA/ton (+$1 USD/ton within a week).
