Volga Baikal AGRO NEWS Update on the Situation on the Russian Grain Market Development from the 7 of September 2020 !!!
Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to the regional authorities of the agro-industrial complex, as of 03.09.2020, the average Russian prices for wheat of the 3rd class amounted to 12,194 rubles / ton (+ 0.3% per week), for wheat of the 4th class – 11,241 rubles / ton (-0.7% per week), for wheat of the 5th class – 10,621 rubles / ton (+ 0.5% per week), for feed barley – 9,596 rubles / ton (-0.4% per week), for food rye – 9 825 rubles / ton (-2.3% per week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
Export. According to the operational data of the FCS of Russia (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member states for July and August), as of September 4, 2020, 8.9 million tons of grain were exported in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year.
The volume of exports of wheat for the season amounted to 7.2 million tons, barley – 1.4 million tons, corn – 0.21 million tons.
As of 03.09.2020, FOB Novorossiysk prices were:
Russian wheat of the 4th class (protein 12.5) – USD 215 / tonne (USD +7 / tonne per week), for barley – USD 183 / tonne (+ USD 1 / tonne per week), for corn – USD 173 / tonne (+1 USD / tonne per week).

The volume of grain of the Federal Intervention Fund as of 28.08.2020 is 288.5 thousand tons for the amount of 2,895.3 million rubles (excluding the sold but not shipped grain – 306.2 thousand tons).
