Volga Baikal AGRO News Update on the Russian Agriculture Seasonal Spring Field Work Progress !!!

According to the operational data of the governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as of May 12, 2021, in the country as a whole, winter crops are fed on the area of 16.2 million hectares, or 83.4% of the sowing area of winter grain crops.
Spring sowing is carried out on the area of 20.5 million hectares or 39.8% of the forecasted area.
Spring grain crops in the country as a whole are sown on the area of 11.4 million hectares, or 39.1% of the forecasted area. Of these, the spring wheat is sown on the area of 3.7 million hectares or 29% of the forecasted area, spring barley – 4.5 million hectares or 58.8% of the forecasted area, corn for grain – 1.5 million hectares or 52.6% to the forecasted area.
Sugar beet is sown on the area of 855 thousand hectares or 80.5% of the forecasted area.
Fiber flax is sown on the area of 7.5 thousand hectares or 15.6% of the forecasted area.
Sunflower is sown on the area of 3.7 million hectares or 43.6% of the forecasted area.
Spring rape is sown on the area of 415 thousand hectares or 33.4% of the forecasted area.
Soybeans are sown on the area of 473.8 thousand hectares, or 15.5% of the forecasted area.
Potatoes in agricultural enterprises and farms are planted on the area of 74.2 thousand hectares or 25.6% of the forecasted area.
Vegetables in agricultural enterprises and farms are planted on the area of 63.5 thousand hectares, or 33.4% of the forecasted area.
