Domestic Grain Prices Development:
According to the regional authorities of the agro-industrial complex, as of October 1, 2020, the average Russian prices for wheat of the 3rd class amounted to 12,668 rubles / ton (+ 1.7% per week), for wheat of the 4th class – 11,650 rubles / ton (+ 2.6% per week), for 5th grade wheat – 10,981 rubles / ton (+ 1.4% per week), for feed barley – 9,813 rubles / ton (-0.3% per week), for food rye – 9 700 rubles / ton (-0.3% per week).
Export Price and Volume Development:
According to the operational data of the FCS of Russia (excluding data on mutual trade with the EAEU member states for August and September), as of 01.10.2020, in the current 2020/2021 agricultural year, 13.9 million tons of grain were exported, which is 0.7% higher. than in the same period last season (13.8 million tons).
The volume of exports of wheat for the season amounted to 11.6 million tons, barley – 2.0 million tons, corn – 0.3 million tons.
As of 25.09.2020, FOB Novorossiysk prices were:
Russian wheat of the 4th class (protein 12.5) – USD 236 / ton (+ USD 2 / ton per week), for barley – USD 204 / ton (+ USD 6 / ton per week), for corn – USD 193 / ton (+1 USD / ton per week). The volume of grain from the Federal Intervention Fund as of 02.10.2020 is 280.6 thousand tons in the amount of 2,808.4 million rubles (excluding grain sold but not shipped – 253.3 thousand tons).
During the sale of grain from the reserves of the Federal Intervention Fund in 2020, the total volume of exchange transactions as of
October 1, 2020 amounted to 1,492.2 thousand tons for the amount of 17,781 million rubles, including wheat of the 3rd class – 743.4 thousand tons, wheat of the 4th class – 636.3 thousand tons, 5th class wheat – 91.9 thousand tons, barley – 20.5 thousand tons.
